An Exciting Morning!

Year 2 had a very exciting morning this morning. To link in with our topic on the Caribbean we had a Steel Drum Workshop come and visit us at school!

The boys spent the morning singing, dancing and playing the drums. There was a real carnival atmosphere!

Please do have a look at the website below to learn more about the company and to tale part in some of the online activities

Cars and Ramps

This week the boys investigated whether there was a relationship between the height of the ramp and how far the car would travel.

They did an excellent job, showing good team work and accurate measuring skills. You will have to ask your son what he found out and if it was what he expected. There were a few surprises!

World Book Day

We have had a very exciting day today. Our focus book has been “Alien Spotter’s Handbook” by Simon Bartram.

The boys have all designed an alien, named it and described what it is like. They then spent the afternoon creating a new alien language!

The boys all looked amazing in their costumes!

Busy!

Yesterday 2M had the chance to try some Caribbean food. They tasted plantain chips, Jamaican crackers, coconut chips, coconut water and mango pulp. There were mixed reviews!
