RSPB

Today we had a visitor from the RSPB. He spoke to us about Biodiversity and we looked at the wildlife in the school grounds. We also took time to listen to what we could hear rather than focussing on what we can see.

Next Week

Next week will be a busy week  with visits from a Steel Drum Workshop, The RSPB, Stroke Rehab Dog and Bounce Day! The boys will have lots to tell you about. There are just a  couple of things to note

  1. Please can all Year 2 boys bring their wellington boots to school on Wednesday 15th March
  2.  We will send the PE bags home after school on Thursday 16th so the boys can come to school wearing their PE kits on Friday 17th (Bounce Day). They will remain in their PE kit for the whole day so they do not need to bring a change of clothes.

I look forward to blogging all about our exciting week!

Moving Vehicles

Today we investigated which car travelled the fastest down a ramp. The boys planned and carried out their own fair test. Some of the results were not as what were expected but all the boys worked well in their groups.

World Book Day

We had a great World Book Day. The boys looked amazing in their costumes and had the chance to review their favourite books. They also had a visit from a real author! The “Travelling Book” came to our room at 10.45 and they boys had excellent ideas for our contribution to the book. We are all keen to hear how the story turns out, once it has finished travelling around the school!
