Hands on!

Every Friday 4 boys from each class get to attend “Gardening Club”. As you can see, they have been very busy keeping the flower beds on the patio tidy!

To consolidate our work on 3D shapes the boys had to use a variety of construction kits to see which 3D shapes they could make!

Maybe you could look for some 3D shapes at home. Remember you can describe them using the words “face”, “edge” and “vertex / vertices” .

Oakmere Library

Yesterday  Year 2  went to Oakmere Library. We had a lovely  morning. The boys were shown how the books were organised, they browsed the different books, did a quiz and had a story. All the boys brought home leaflets about joining the library and we encourage you all to visit in the near future.

World Book Day

Yesterday was World Book Day. We had a lovely day and produced some great work.

The boys in Year 2 had to write about a travelling balloon. They had to create imaginary landscapes and describe where the balloon went. They also had to think about where the balloon would end up! Some boys were in charge of writing the beginning of the story, some had to write the middle and some the end. We then matched up the three parts to create a whole story!

We had boys from Year 3 and Year 6 come and work with us. Also, Mrs Ozer came to tell us about being an author. We all had a very enjoyable day!
