Living and non-living

This afternoon in science we discussed how we could tell if something was a living thing or not.  We learnt the mnemonic MRSGREN to help us remember the 7 characteristics something must have to be living.  Why not ask the boys what each letter stands for to see how many of the characteristics they know?

Measuring

Welcome back everyone, I hope you enjoyed the Easter break.  It was great to hear of so many exciting and wonderful activities undertaken by the boys over the last few weeks.  However now we are back to business and in our last term of Year 2 it is really important to work hard, try our best and continue enjoying our learning journey.

The next step in our maths learning journey is measuring.  We will be looking at weight, length and capacity next week so if you get the chance at the weekend have a look on here and get a head start.

Japan

Here is a selection of the wonderful homework pieces we received this half term.  We have had earthquake simulators, sushi, cherry blossom models and even moving origami models.  Thank you very much for your hard work and we look forward to your next set on space.
