They have found ‘quarter to’ particularly challenging so it would be good to practise this over half term. For example 3.45 is quarter to 4 and quarter to 10 is 9.45 etc

Word of the Day

I have been so impressed with the way in which 2P have been using their new vocabulary. I have heard the boys using it in conversation and even seen evidence of it in their written work. Here are the next set of words. Can you use them in sentences?

jubilant

flail

profound

germinate

crippled

deliberate

In 2P we have been learning a new word every day. I have been impressed with the way in which the boys have grasped this new vocabulary and are enjoying looking for ways to use it in their work. Below is a list of the words so far. Can you remember what they all mean?

relinquish

plethora

devoured

dwindle

warrior

simultaneously

impede

revenge

smuggle

Problem Solving

Today the boys worked in pairs to solve mathematical problems. I was impressed with their ability to work out what the problem was asking them to do. They worked collaboratively in a logical and organised manner! Well done.
