Today we used the trundle wheels to measure the length and width of the astro. Some boys even measured all around the edge! Trundle wheels are much easier to use when measuring bigger distances.

Well done, Jaiveer and Oscar
Thank you for your thoughtful response to the war poem, Oscar. I think Mummy is right; soldiers are real heroes!
Jaiveer has written a beautiful remembrance poem of his own. It was very thoughtful and moving.

Symmetry
This week the boys have been learning about shape and symmetry. I have been pleased to hear that the maths games were popular last week so I have included some more for this week! I hope you enjoy them.

Remembrance Day
At this time of the year we think about the importance of Remembrance Day and of the many sacrifices that men and women made in the various wars. This Friday we will be attending the special service of Remembrance with the Senior School. Why not write a simple poem about Remembrance?
Here is a very famous war poem:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Who do you think the poet is referring to?

What’s the Time?
This week we have been telling the time. The boys have read different “o’clock” and “half past” times from analogue and digital clocks.
You might like to practise telling the time by playing the game below.

Can I also encourage you to have a go at The Puzzle of the Term which Mrs Wormald sent out earlier this week.
Have fun!
Well done to all the boys in 2P!
Dear boys
