A Great Day!

We have had a busy day but it has been lots of fun! To start with the boys worked with an adapted extract from Eve Bunting’s “The Night of the Gargoyles”. They had to work in a small group to perform the piece and the Year 8 boys were on hand to help. They had to think about changing their voices and add actions. Finally they performed to the class. We were all impressed.

In the afternoon we began to make the Olympic T Shirts which we designed last week. They are requiring a lot of perseverance and the boys have tried really hard to remain patient with their needle and thread! This is work in progress, I will blog the finished results in the near future.

Lazarus

This week we went to the science lab to visit Lazarus! Lazarus is a Giant African Land Snail. Mrs Craig told the boys all about him, for example the conditions he likes to live in and the food he likes to eat. I’m sure the boys would love to tell you about it!

Minibeast Hunt

On Monday, we braved the rain to carry out a minibeast hunt. We went to the garden by the patio and then to the Ecology Area. We were looking at animals and their habitats. It was dry when we set off but we got caught in a downpour! The boys found a number of different minibeasts, I’m sure they would love to tell you all about it!
