This week we have been focusing on measuring. Yesterday the boys used string to measure the circumference of their heads, ankles, waits, wrists and legs. They then measured the string using cm.

 

Today the boys felt some different weights. They compared 5g, 10g, 20g, 100g, 500g and 1kg. They then had to predict whether certain items would be heavier or lighter than 500g. They were all very close!

It would be great if the boys could continue to practise measuring different things at home (length, weight and capacity).

Today 2M had a Team Building Challenge that involved designing their ideal holiday resort. We had some very interesting ideas.

We had hotels, steak houses, pasta bars, water parks, beaches, tennis courts and even a wrestling ring! I almost wanted to book my place there! Most importantly, the boys worked together in their teams. They listened to each other, discussed ideas and even came up with ways of deciding which idea should be chosen. An excellent start to the term!

The boys have taken part in lots of Easter themed activities this week. Here they are experimenting with colour mixing to decorate an egg!

 

Yesterday, they had an Easter egg hunt!

Today we had a surprise visit from the Easter bunny. Thank you to all the parents for the lovely surprise!
