Have a lovely weekend.
This week in Maths the boys have been collecting data and interpreting graphs. Later on this week they will also be drawing their own bar graphs!
Here they are making a label to show their favourite food
The labels were stuck on the white board to create a class pictogram.
Next, we used some computer software to turn the pictogram results into a bar chart. We talked about the x and y axis and what information goes on each axis.
In Science, the boys collected information about how the ball could roll faster. We talked about raising the ramp, the type of surface that was used and the force that was applied. We discussed the following words
This week we were lucky enough to have a group of senior boys come and help 2M play some board games. It was lovely to see the different year groups interacting so well. All the boys enjoyed it and lots of skills were developed!
This session will now become a regular slot on alternate Wednesday mornings. What a great way to start the day!
I hope you all have a lovely Half Term. If you are looking for some fun educational games to play online you could try this link
