Jedi and Judo!

P1050476 P1050475 P1050473

We were treated to two very professional and well prepared show and tells last week.  We were given instruction on the martial art of Judo as well as being given insight into the world of Lego Star Wars.

Secret code!

In order to get into the habit of checking the blog the boys have been set a challenge to visit this page once over the weekend.  All they need to do to complete their mission is to work out the secret code below and write it into their reading records:

W      A      R    E     2      M

Brains, Brawn, Diaries and Dahl.

Another fantastic set of show and tell talks. Including a pop up book showing us the inner workings of the human body, a collection of wrestlers, a diary written over the summer break and a program, ticket and even a chocolate calculator from the West End production of Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’

Where the Wild Things Are

This week in art we have been designing and building our own Wild Thing Monsters based on  Maurice Sendak’s book ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’  We have been adding papier mache to wooden frames to create the shape we would like our monsters to take. Check back in the coming weeks to see how they are coming along.

Look at how much we are concentrating!

A Great start to show and tell!

Sweets, scents, snakes and greats.
Last week we enjoyed four wonderful show and tell presentations.  We had the 2M sweet tooth excited with a talk about sweets and dreaming of living in a ‘Candy World.’  There was a discussion on the qualities and joy of picking lavender, filling the room with a warming scent.  We were unnerved and intrigued in equal measures  with a real life, stuffed (thankfully), rattle snake. We were also beautifully told the story of Alexander the Great, written in Greek!

A great start and we look forward to hearing the rest of the boys over the coming weeks.
